- AMSTERDAM LIGHT FESTIVAL
Amsterdam Light Festival will take place this year, from November 28 to January 19, 2020, in Amsterdam.
For seven weeks, the canals in Amsterdam will be bright in a unique way by the best-known artists in the Netherlands as well as from other countries.

The spectacular works of art can be admired in the city center. You can enjoy a boat ride, on the beautifully lit canals, or on foot, having the opportunity to enjoy with your loved ones some unique and magical moments.

2. MAASTRICHT CHRISTMAS MARKET
The wonderful Christmas Fair in Maastricht will be held this year, from November 29 to December 31. The festive atmosphere will surprise you from the moment you arrive in Maastricht and will continue to impress you as you arrive in Vrijthof, the main square of the city.

There, you will walk among the wooden houses. specially decorated for the holidays, feeling in the air the delicious smell of local products, such as ‘olibollen’ (a specialty of Dutch donuts) or the famous ‘Glühwein’.
The picture is completed by the beautiful Christmas tree, by the hospitable Santa Claus who welcomes his visitors at the entrance to Vrijthof, by the beautifully lit amusement wheel, from where you can admire the panorama of the city from a height of 45 meters, by the ice rink and the beautiful terraces, where you can retire to warm up for a few moments.

3. Valkenburg Christmas Market
Valkenburg Christmas Fair will take place this year, from November 15 to January 05.

It is one of the most fascinating Christmas markets in Europe, especially for being held in the famous underground caves.
The caves have wide corridors, beautifully decorated with lights, special Christmas decorations, and designated candles.
Moreover, you will find a wide range of stands with Christmas decorations, handicrafts, candy, and other local delicacies that will delight your senses. You will discover an impressive site, something different from other Christmas fairs, especially due to its location, in an ancient cave.

4,THE HAGUE ROYAL CHRISTMAS FAIR

The Hague Royal Christmas Fair will take place this year, from 12 December to 23 December. and will be open daily, from 12.00 to 21.00. The Hague city center will be transformed into a spectacular, fairy-tale place with thousands of charming lights and colours.

5. DICKENS FESTIVAL DEVENTER
Deventer, one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, is hosting this year the impressive Dickens Festival.
The event will take place on the weekend of 14-15 December from 11 am to 5 pm.

What is special about this event is that the famous characters in Charles Dickens’s stories come to life. Thus, you meet with Scrooge, Oliver Twist, and other well-known characters. You take part in everyday life scenes from the 19th century. Everything unfolds in a story setting and you feel that you have just travelled in time.

6. WINTER EFTELING PARK
Efteling Park, the famous theme and amusement park, offers you the chance to experience the magic of winter holidays and not only, with family or friends.

Winter Efteling Park will take place from 11 November 2019 to 2 February 2020.
It is a great time to enjoy the magic of this wonderful place, suitable for both children and adults, which will give you such a unique experience.
